Gardening

With the couple months of summer left, we have decided to start a vegetable garden.  So, this past weekend we meandered over to a local nursery to get some ideas on what to plant now and what fall seeds to plant at the end of the month.  Maybe you can help us out with some suggestions!  Here are a few pics of our outing.

What do you have growing in your garden?  I’d love to get some ideas from you.  Let me know in the comments below!

Every year at my house we grow tomatoes, since they are so much better fresh!
My fav new one in my garden this year that is rockin so far is the lettuce. I was doubting it at first, but I have so much beautiful romaine(6 plants came together at the nursery), and every few days i pluck myself a fresh salad since it grows so fast.
Gardening at home is one of the BEST things about summer and makes cooking so much more fun!

    • Alexandra, romaine sounds fantastic.

We are going to do tomatoes since we still have a couple months that they will thrive on. Nothing better than a flavorful tomato. I’m such a sucker for heirloom tomatoes. I will say I am looking forward to the fall planting too, we are going to do kale and brussel sprouts.
